BRITISH GLOUCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT OFFICER’ S BLUE CLOTH HELMET, black felt covered cork with brass edging at front, a little crushed on one side near the top, gilt brass spike and fittings, gilt brass four piece officer’s helmet plate with white metal scroll and Sphinx at centre, brass Sphinx back badge (The Gloucestershire Regiment is the only British Regiment to wear a back badge), brass link chin strap on brown leather backing, soft wool padding inside with brown leather sweat band, both showing some signs of wear. Some light insect damage to the black felt outer covering, but still a nice looking helmet.
