Black wool with a lining of dark grey ribbed cotton, stamped H.V. with the number 7 below, two grey/green painted ventilation eyelets, one on either side of the crown. The BeVo insignia is machine-sewn to the cap during construction – the national cockade on back below the national eagle in grey. The pink soutache has been machine sewn to the cap with a zig-zag stitch rather than the usual straight stitch up the centre between the two arms of the braid. This actual cap was illustrated in a book (colour photocopies included), but unfortunately I don’t know the name of the book. A scarce cap in excellent condition.
